Her practice addresses the design of spaces as they are used and inhabited. Attentive to form as well as to the relationships and memories that define a place, she explores architecture’s capacity to bring people together, to activate situations, and to accommodate lived experience. Rather than pursuing a fixed aesthetic or showroom logic, her approach develops through layering: materials and styles overlap and interact organically, without an imposed hierarchy.
Drawing on scenography and cinema, Clarisse d’Hoffschmidt conceives her projects as open structures, in which each element contributes to everyday life, allowing narratives and patterns of use to emerge over time.
